GETTING TO HOBART

FLIGHTS

Hobart Airport is Australia’s most southern airport, with one of Australia’s most picturesque approaches.

It is the largest and busiest airport in Tasmania with the following aviation partners flying from all around Australia and connections to the globe.

AIRPORT CONNECTIONS

SkyBus provides fast and low cost airport transfers to the heart of Hobart City. Tickets are available online through the SkyBus website or purchase tickets at the e-kiosks located next to the luggage carousels. The buses stop outside the arrivals hall forecourt (Gate 1), to the right of the yellow bus shelter.

Every arrival at Hobart Airport is met by taxis that will take passengers into Hobart city. The trip will take around 20 minutes. The taxi rank is located directly out the front of the terminal building.

Renting a car, campervan or motor home is one of the best ways to explore Tasmania. We offer visitors a choice of eight rental companies, HertzAvisBargainBudgetEuropcarRedspotEnterprise and Thrifty, all conveniently located inside the Arrivals area.

Uber is now available at the Hobart Airport. A ride share access fee of $3.85 per trip applies to those using Uber services at Hobart Airport.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Metro is the largest passenger transport company in Tasmania. Metro operates bus services in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie.

EAT AND DRINK

Tasmania is a great place to learn about and try fresh produce. You can find it at farmers markets and in local eateries, from cheap and cheerful pubs to high-end bars and restaurants.

Tasmania is also home to some of Australia’s leading cool climate wines with our pinot noir and sparkling wines attracting the interest of wine makers from around the world.

Our clean, green environment is also ideal for producing cider, whisky and gin. You’ll find our boutique breweries and distilleries showcasing their wares at cellar doors where you can sample the produce and talk to the maker.
